Program Overview

Learn the art of stained glass while immersed in the beauty of the Adirondack wilderness. Each participant will receive expert instruction on the basic design principles of creating stained glass and learn how to create a stained glass piece from start to finish using the copper foil method. Choosing from a selection of patterns and glass inspired by the surrounding landscape, each student will work hands-on and come away with their very own stained glass creation!

Program Activities

• Introductory presentation by instructor, Kelsie Foy

• Learning how to approach color and composition

• Understanding the creative considerations of the medium

• Familiarizing yourself with the core techniques of stained glass construction & finishing

• Focused class time as well as ample free time to relax and explore

• Access to Sagamore’s daily activities and recreational amenities (tours, nature walks/hikes, guided paddles, bowling alley, canoes & kayaks, etc.)

Kelsie Foy is a stained glass artist who draws on inspiration from the mountains and her home on the New Jersey coast. She loves re-imagining intricate landscapes into captivating stained glass pieces. Her contemporary spin on this classic medium brings a fresh perspective to the art form, and her passion shines through every piece she makes!
