Join Sagamore quilters Pat and Terri Burdick, knitter Jen McAvoy and Adirondack folksinger Peggy Lynn to share quilting creativity, relax and rejuvenate while enjoying Great Camp Sagamore. In addition to the workshops there will be an evening trunk show, an evening of songs celebrating quilting and the Adirondacks with Peggy Lynn and time to relax and enjoy the facility. We can also lead a hike or a canoe/kayak excursion on Sagamore Lake if there is interest.
Lapquilts are the focus of this retreat with 3 different patterns to choose from.
Minimum Skill level required: Confident beginner, able to sew an accurate ¼ seam and familiar with quilting rulers and rotary cutter
Please feel free to email Terri Burdick – using Sagamore Quilting in the subject line - if you have questions before deciding which workshop to enroll in: tcburd@gmail.com

Celebrate the Seasons and Holidays: tablerunners, wallhangings and Christmas stockings
This is a small class (16 maximum) with 2 quilting instructors and there will be time for individual help to modify patterns to accommodate various focal fabrics.
Make a coordinating group of tablerunner, placemats and wallhanging to change your décor with the seasons or a hostess gift for Thanksgiving or a snowman print to feature in a seasonal wallhanging, use a feature fabric in a Christmas stocking etc. A variety of patterns will be offered, including a couple of different Sawtooth star options, and a churn dash to make wallhangings, a tablerunner using simple squares and rectangles, and stocking patterns. Take this workshop to get started on holiday gifts or to challenge yourself to use a color you aren’t comfortable with such as orange in a Halloween/Thanksgiving wallhanging or runner.
We will work on a maximum of 3 projects. Tuesday we will start with a tablerunner (Butterfly and Snowman sample), that afternoon we will work on a Sawtooth star wallhanging (Winter star, Scarecrow samples) and the following morning we will do a Christmas/Memory stocking, Wednesday afternoon we will work on completing projects. You can chose to do one or all of these projects, class is flexible, as time allows we will accommodate variations.
