This multi-day experience at stunning Great Camp Sagamore, Raquette Lake blends gravel cycling with a modern mini-vacation that provides you with a true connection to the landscape and history of this special place. Each morning will feature professionally guided bicycle rides of 20 miles on nearby low traffic roads (or no traffic in the case of the gravel events) showcasing incredible Adirondack scenery and gentle rolling terrain. Afternoons are all about camp exploration and relaxation. Think canoeing on pristine Sagamore Lake, hiking the rich pine forest, rolling a frame or two at the historic open-air bowling alley or simply lounging lakeside in an Adirondack chair with a good book. Professional Guides from BikeADK
The course will be instructed by professional bicycle guides from Bike the Adirondacks (BikeADK). BikeADK is an Adirondack owned and operated bicycle powered company based in Saranac Lake, NY. They create, execute, promote and support charity driven events, curate a library of routes and trail networks, build custom tours, and sell cool t-shirts! Schedule Overview
Sunday: Check in at 4:00 pm followed by general welcome and happy hour. Dinner, camp and boathouse orientations, and free time fill the evening.
Monday: Pre-breakfast fitness walk for early-risers, breakfast, and then off for our 20 mile bike ride. Lunch back at camp, followed by a choice of guided hike, bowling, relaxation, or all 3. Buffet dinner followed by an evening campfire.
Tuesday: Pre-breakfast fitness walk for early-risers, breakfast, and then off for our 20 mile bike ride. Lunch back at camp. A history tour of camp will be offered from 1:30-3:30 pm that guests may attend.
Wednesday: Room check-out by 10:00 am.
