America's Treasures: Three Adirondack Great Camps of the Gilded Age


Learn the history behind Great Camp Sagamore's National Historic Landmark campus, from its design and construction by William West Durant, through its long history as the Vanderbilt family's wilderness retreat.  Enjoy learning about three Great Camps (Sagamore, Camp Uncas, and Camp Pine Knot), their architecture and the people who lived there through visits and lectures.  This program includes a visit to the Adirondack Experience Museum in Blue Mountain Lake and opportunities to learn about regional culture.
