Feathers and Flora of the Northern Forest

This is a program for nature lovers with a focus on birding. It’s appropriate for both beginner and experienced birders. During this 5-day 4-night program we’ll learn about a variety of topics including Adirondack plant species, ecosystems, wildlife, birds of prey, and spend a day out birding at some of the best local hot spots.   On expert-led walks through protected woods, learn about rare birds, their songs and tips for identification.  Expert birders John and Pat Thaxton join us on our walks and travels.  We are also joined by Mark Manske to learn about his raptors and research in and around the Adirondack Park, as well as Gary Lee presenting on the Common Loon.
